Carol Gaines is an accomplished Graphic Designer who excels at designing print collateral and websites that project her clients’ brand image, and effectively delivers its intended message to its target audience. She is an intelligent, creative problem solver who enjoys taking the initiative to help figure out solutions to tough challenges.
She has worked as a freelance designer for many clients including Philadelphia Inquirer, Temple University, Lutheran Theological Seminary of Philadelphia, Scholastics, and other educational and non-for-profit clients, and has won awards for her outstanding work.
Ms. Gaines has the ability to help clients communicate effectively by strategizing with them on the image and positioning they want to project in the marketplace and then creating designs to support their goals. She can develop a brand image, and raise the profile of a company or individual through stellar design, insight, and understanding of the uniqueness of each client.
In addition to being an outstanding graphic designer, Ms. Gaines has a penchant for learning new software and training others, as well as providing technical support to internal users. She has 10 years of higher education in a combination of fine arts and graphic design. Carol received a BFA from Indiana University, Bloomington Indiana,
the equivalent of a masters degree from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and completed the desktop publishing and computer graphics program
at Moore College of Art + Design.
She is an avid reader, yoga student, and swimmer. Reading led to a passion for typography, and beautifully designed books. She reads fiction, history, philosophy and biography, all which continue to inspire and intellectually engage her. She enjoys all the arts, which help to enrich her personal as well as professional life. Yoga and swimming keep her balanced literally and figuratively.
